Create your own painting
"Commission a painting to create a special image for your home or office"

Looking for something special???
Why not help create your own artistic expression to make that
special space really come alive!

Looking for that special painting, but you just can't seem to find it? Ken Wallin has an idea for you to get what you are really looking for. Consider commissioning and original painting from artist Ken Wallin. Commissioning a painting may be a way to get what you really want! Make that special place in your home or office sparkle. Maybe it's a gift for a special occasion, birthday, retirement or anniversary. It could be a painting of a special vacation or place near your home. Work with Ken to create a visual art experience that can capture a place of image to make a lasting memory.

How do you commission a work of art?

  • Contact Ken with what you have been thinking about. Who is it for? What type of images have been in your mind? Where will the painting go? Is there a special color scheme to consider?
  • Ken can work from photos or verbal descriptions. From this, Ken will make several sketches of a possible painting to outline subject matter, color and size. A sample color quick study (8X10) will be done of the intended painting. Both the sketches and painting study is at no cost to the art patron considering a commission. This painting image will be reviewed by the art patron to consider for a commission.
  • Once it is agreed to continue with the commissioned project, a down payment of 50% of the agreed upon price for the finished painting will be required to begin the painting. A time frame will be discussed, especially if it is for a special event or gift.
  • Near the completion of the piece, the art patron will have the opportunity to review the painting and approve or discuss changes. The final piece will then be completed and given to the patron. The remaining 50% will be due at this time.
  • If for some reason the art patron is not satisfied with the piece, the final payment is not due until the patron is satisfied with the work. If for some reason the final piece is not satisfactory, the patron is not required to pay the remaining 50% of the fee. The original 50% payment is forfeited to the artist
